Thunderstorm Watch for Stewart Island: 5 hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday. Northwest gales are forecast to be severe at times, with gusts reaching 130 to 140 km/h. Squally thunderstorms early this afternoon. Please note, another period of severe west to southwest gales expected between 5am and 6pm Wednesday.
